Soil Investigation

This involves the conduct of the necessary test on the soil before embarking on any project development/execution. It is done to determine the type, nature and characteristics of the sub-soil/surface materials as well as the general stratigraphic sequence of the sub-soil within the area and obtain its relevant engineering parameters that will be needed to make informed and quality decision in Building and Civil Engineering works; such as in foundation and road design and its subsequent execution. The test include Cone Penetration Test (CPT), Boring/Standard Penetration Test (SPT), etc.
